In 1996, David Dick and his wife Renita established Green Country Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. We are both proud to say that our firm is not part of a corporate chain. Green Country Funeral Home is a family-owned funeral home and our family is committed to serving the other families in our community with compassion, professionalism, and excellence.
When you speak with David you are speaking with the owner, not a manager. Green Country Funeral Home provides your family with the highest level of service possible. We provide the funeral, memorial, or cremation you desire for your loved one.
Green Country Funeral Home has an on-site crematory, which guarantees that your loved one will be cared for by us, and not an out-of-town facility. Our facility offers families, and their guests, comfortable surroundings in which to gather to share memories and honor the life of their loved one.
Grandson of the late Cherokee Master artist, Cecil Dick, David has long-standing, deeply-felt ties to Tahlequah. For more than 50 years Cecil recorded Cherokee history and culture through his art. He has received almost every award possible in the Indian art world, including the Sequoyah Medal the highest honor conferred by the Cherokee Nation, presented to Cecil Dick in 1983.
