Funeral services for Adriana (Smith)Calhoun will be held at10:00 am, Wednesday January 27, 2010 in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Lou Ann Hunter officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Hollis Calhoun, John Calhoun, Nick Elliott, Cole Elliott and Trent Elliott. Interment will be held in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. You may leave online condolences at tahlequahfuneral.com.
Adriana Calhoun was born November 19, 1936 in Braggs, Oklahoma to Charles Adrian Smith and Melvie (Mannon) Smith. She passed away on January 23, 2010 at her home in Tahlequah at the age of 73 years 2 months and 4 days.
Adriana was a graduate of Warner High School. In June of 1963 in North Carolina she married Loren “Bud” Calhoun. They shared 47 years of marriage until her passing. During Adriana’s earlier years, she worked with her husband as cashier for Bud’s Auction in Tahlequah.
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and collecting dolls.
Adriana was preceded in death by both her parents and a sister, Mae Breshears.
She is survived by her husband, “Bud” of the home; a son, John Calhoun and wife Michelle of Lamothe, Canada; daughter, Hollis (Calhoun) Hall of ____; a grandson, Iain Calhoun of Alberta, Canada; three brothers, Charles Andrew Smith, Adrian Ray Smith and Bert Lee Smith; sisters Pearl_____Le Vada____and Ann Carter.
