Obituary:
Richard Lee Bonwell, 82, of Park Hill, OK, was born the son of Guy Clifford and Rose Marie Bonwell on July 17, 1927, in Chester, SD. He passed away February 22, 2010 after a year long battle with a blood disorder.

Dick was Director of Human Resources and Executive Director of the HMO of OK at the Oral Roberts Ministries, Tulsa, OK after which he was Marketing Manager, Blue Links HMO, BCBS of OK and manager of special projects for BCBS of OK, Tulsa, OK. He was a member of the Tulsa Akdar Shrine, Tulsa Scottish Rite, and Des Moines, Iowa Masonic Lodge, and the Rotary Club of Southeast Tulsa, OK.

He loved the outdoors with golf, hunting, and fishing, but most of all, he loved his family. Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marilee and is survived by two sons, James and wife Dorene of West Des Moines, IA., John and wife Holly of Post Falls, ID.; and one daughter, Amy and son-in-law Ahmet Ozturk of Park Hill, OK; five grandchildren, Amy Lynn Hughes, Jake Bonwell, Sarah Erickson, Matt and J.J. Ozturk; two great grand-children, Dylan Erickson and Alexis Edwards, and his close companion, Jeanne McKensie, and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday April 2, 2010 at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Green Country Funeral Home.
